The fluidity of "Fountain" by Apollonas Glykas directs an imaginary beyond the borders of art, it makes a new flat world where you want to belong to, where things are flowing endelessly to different shapes materials and "existances". Riding the light on the surf of his "splashed" thriving energy that surrenders all forms and structures, it becomes your traveling medium through time, since he masterly encircles antiquity and new "era" built environment forms that become the playground of this dance between light and steel with a clean neat order that approves its purpose for being a forground artwork displayed in horizontal flat canvas/walls. Its colourless conditioning attracts better the dynamics of his message, which for me says "keep interelating time and shapes within a universe, where all can be united, when the flow of human conditioning Allows it i.e. lets live interconnected effortlessly in a flowing universal endless energy". It striked me and captured my heart and didnt let me go until I jumped into it and surfed its energy. Stay focus and you will do the same, I am sure.. A piece that is worth for the Metropolitan in NYC for sure. |
